HSC English Study Group

Final Message from Ms. D'Souza

I have checked all blogs so far and most are very good. I will now look at this only tomorrow after the assessment time is complete.

Remember the main blog post response is the only one that is marked not other blog posts. So incorporate ure explanation of the montage and animoto clip in that response. So ensure that main blogpost, the header graphic, montage and animoto are completed soon. these are the only marked components.
Also try and publish all your work soon to avoid any technical problems later.

Since this assignment has been going on for so long no extensions will be given for any reason (especially technical). Fortunately most have nearly completed their work.

Regarding the times on the site.. im trying to fix that and hopefully it will work otherwise as long as the last modification is made on June 30th its fine.

Good luck!

Element 5- Animoto Clip OPTIONAL

The idea with this animoto is that its the same as the other one but as the music is faster, it encapsulates more images, you can view this but the music is supposed to be radio head. This is because of the default that slower more meditative music affects the number of images, do what you like with it… Continue

'In the Wild' involves portrayals, in varying contexts, of the individual and the natural world.

Analyse TWO differences between Huxley's and Scott's portrayals, making detailed reference to your prescribed texts.

Since mankind has been able to think rationally, one question has constantly plagued it- what is its place in the grander scheme of things- that is, where does it fit in the natural world?

The answer to which has been quite self indulgent- surely man is at… Continue

The portrayal of the individual and the natural world in Aldous Huxley’s prophetic novel Brave New World and Ridley Scott’s hybrid of science fiction and noir film Bladerunner reflect the concept of “In the Wild”. Both texts depict humanity stepping away from humanity… Continue

Personal Blog

“A dystopia is a utopia forced on you by a maniac” – Samuel J Lundwall

Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World explore the concept of In the Wild by focussing on the natural rhythms falling victim to scientific development. They present a wedge that is divorcing man from his relationship between nature and humanity, in an attempt to define what it really means to be “human”. Together the texts through different mediums… Continue
